My artwork focuses on ideas of truth in biological images and exploration of invisible or ignored biological worlds. I like to play with the idea of creating my own organisms in a way that feels very studied and official. I try to achieve this by paying close attention to details and creating complex images that reference scientific scans or mounted specimens. I am fascinated by microscopic images and magnifications of insects and other small items. I try to show the complexity of these organisms by expressing different textures, structures, and movements of these organisms.
